Job summary

The Luxury Collection is seeking an entry-level management professional to support day-to-day activities in Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry where applicable. You will help clean and maintain guestrooms and public spaces, perform inspections, and drive guest satisfaction while helping manage the operating budget.

Ideal candidates may have a high school diploma with related experience, or a 2-year degree in Hotel Management or related field with no prior work experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required with 1 year experience in housekeeping or related area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; no work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations are up to date.
• Oversees all lost and found procedures.
• Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned and prospective check-outs to assign work.
• Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
• Ensures guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk promptly.
• Works with Engineering on guest room maintenance needs.
• Implements loss prevention policies and procedures.
• Ensures staff have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.
• Supervises inspection program for guestrooms and public space.
• Manages linen inventory and supplies; assists in ordering.
• Supervises housekeeping in absence of leadership.
• Observes service behaviors and provides feedback to improve performance.
• Handles guest problems and complaints with supervisor support.
• Reviews guest comment cards and satisfaction results with staff.
• Sets a positive example for guest relations.

Managing Housekeeping Operations and Budgets

• Ensures knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations are up to date.

• Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.

• Ensures all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.
