Job Purpose

You will be a principal pillar of the hotel, enthusiastically directing the daily activities of the sales team. You will inspire and coach the team to achieve results, lead the annual departmental operating budget, sales and marketing plan, collaborate on revenue forecasting, and plan events such as sales blitzes and trade shows to showcase the hotel to potential clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Approach the wholesale market segment for Minor Hotels Sales Cluster strategically:
    • Ensure the team prioritises its account base and focuses on new client contacts and revenue potential.
    • Review actual account performance against target, continually upgrading the client base.
    • Assign account responsibilities and targets, reviewing them regularly.
  • Manage the Wholesale team:
    • Set financial objectives for each member and manage performance to meet them.
    • Onboard new team members, ensuring they understand and can articulate the Minor Hotels brand positioning.
    • Develop and maintain selling skills required for the role.
    • Identify skill gaps, recommend training, and oversee implementation.
  • Maintain accurate management status reporting on business results and action planning.
  • Ensure the sales team remains current on all Minor Hotels products, services, promotions and competitor developments.
  • Adhere to departmental budget and cost‑control procedures.
  • Participate in client site inspections, sales trips and roadshows to achieve sales targets.
  • Create and implement occupancy‑boosting packages and promotions.
  • Liaise with operational colleagues to deliver accurate service promises.
  • Drive upsell and cross‑sell opportunities for Minor Hotels products.
  • Process all administrative work quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in hotel sales and marketing.
  • Experience with luxury hotel brands.
  • Revenue management experience.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills.
  • Strong sales and analytical knowledge.
