Job Title : Assistant City Manager – Trainee Deployment Model (6 Months Jakarta → Bali/Sulawesi Placement)

Work Location : Jakarta (Training period: 6 months) → Mandatory Expatriation to Sulawesi or Bali upon completion

Job Purpose

To undergo an intensive 6-month training and field immersion in Jakarta headquarters to fully understand the company’s offline sales model, team management routines, and channel development standards. Upon successful completion, the Assistant City Manager will be assigned to Bali or Sulawesi to assist in leading local sales teams, expanding strategic retail channels, and ensuring high-performance delivery in the assigned city.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Strategy & Local Market Execution

  • Learn and assist in formulating city-level business plans, ensuring alignment with growth expectations in local markets.
  • Support in market analysis, competitor tracking, and local opportunity identification during and after the training phase.

2. Team Coordination & Field Support

  • During the training phase, observe and participate in recruitment, coaching, and team supervision routines under guidance of senior leaders.
  • Post deployment to Bali/Sulawesi, support local sales managers in target achievement, work rhythm control, and frontline discipline management.

3. Local Business Operations

  • Assist in managing daily sales execution, branch promotions, and customer engagement activities.
  • Help monitor retail channel performance, sales reporting, and operational issue resolution.

4. Customer & Channel Relationship Support

  • Participate in developing and maintaining local chain store relationships to ensure stable cooperation after deployment.
  • Support in resolving front-line customer issues quickly to enhance satisfaction and store partner loyalty.

5. Cross-functional coordination

  • During training, learn to coordinate with HQ commercial, marketing, and operations teams.
  • After city assignment, act as liaison between regional field team and headquarters to ensure smooth execution and data feedback.

6. Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular performance updates, market observations, and issue tracking to the Provincial Manager.
  • Submit training and deployment readiness reports during the Jakarta phase, followed by field execution reports post-placement.
Qualifications
  • Education: D3 or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in telecom, digital product distribution, device retail, or field sales operations (OPPO, VIVO, Xiaomi, Samsung-type ecosystem preferred).
  • Skills Required:
  • Strong communication and coordination ability.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to field environments and manage frontline teams post deployment.
  • Able to work under pressure and handle field operational challenges.
  • Language: Able to communicate verbally in Mandarin is preferred; Bahasa Indonesia native is required.
  • Placement Readiness: Must be willing to relocate to Bali or Sulawesi immediately after training completion and adapt to a local market leadership role.
Career Path

Upon successful performance and adaptation in Bali/Sulawesi, the candidate may be considered for promotion to City Manager → Regional Manager, with expanded leadership scope and wider market responsibility.
