Job summary

Caterpillar seeks an Assembly & Test Technician to join the Operations team in Batam. The role involves preparing, assembling, and testing components with hydrostatic and gas tests, using torque and hand tools, and operating overhead cranes in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The candidate should read technical drawings, maintain 5S standards, and contribute to continuous improvement while collaborating within a cross-functional team on a 6-month contract with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma in engineering or high school/vocational with at least 2 years in manufacturing.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Able to read technical drawings.
• Able to use/read measuring tools such as Vernier caliper and pressure gauge.
• Knowledge of torque tools and hand tools.
• Understand traceability concepts.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic math skills: tolerances and conversions.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify materials.
• Prepare and operate hand tools and torque tools (hydraulic and pneumatic).
• Assemble and test (hydrostatic test / gas test).
• Use overhead crane to move heavy parts.
• Keep equipment and workspace clean and organized (5S).

Lokasi Kerja: Batam, Kepulauan Riau

Jenis Pekerjaan: 6 Bulan

Responsibilities

• Melakukan verifikasi material.
• Mempersiapkan dan mengoperasikan Hand tool, Torque tool (baik Hydraulic maupun Pneumatic tool).
• Melakukan perakitan dan pengujian (Hydrostatic test / Gas test).
• Menggunakan Over Head Crane dalam pengangkatan material berat.
• Menjaga peralatan dan area kerja agar tetap bersih dan rapi (Housekeeping / 5S).
• Berpartisipasi dalam perbaikan berkelanjutan yang berkontribusi terhadap efisiensi dan keekonomisan proses perakitan dan pengujian.

Qualifications

• Minimal lulusan D3 Teknik atau Sekolah Menengah Atas/Kejuruan dengan minimal 2 tahun pengalaman di Manufacturing
• Kesatu terhadap semua peraturan, standard, prosedur, kebijakan Perusahaan dan pemerintah tentang Kesehatan, Keselamatan dan lingkungan kerja.
• Memiliki Pemahaman dalam membaca gambar Teknik.
• Mampu menggunakan dan membaca alat ukur seperti Vernier Kaliper, Pressure Gauge, dll.
• Memiliki pengetahuan tentang Torque tool, hand tool.
• Mengerti tentang konsep traceability.
• Dapat berkomunikasi dengan baik serta mampu bekerja secara efektif dalam lingkungan tim.
• Memiliki kemampuan dasar Matematika seperti toleransi, konversi, dll.
• Memiliki kemampuan dasar Microsoft office.
