Job summary

A leading engineering firm located in Tangerang, Indonesia seeks a Mechanical Assembly Technician. Responsible for assembly and testing of mechanical components, the ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of relevant experience, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. Qualifications

Job description
Job Purpose

Assembles and tests mechanical assemblies of moderate complexity, requiring some fitting and adjusting. Assist in providing assistance and guidance to juniors.

Responsibilities

Assembles and tests assemblies according to TechnipFMC specifications. Masters basic skills and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment in area of expertise.

Completes required test documentation including test reports, failed test reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).

Resolves routine questions and problems in mastered subassemblies. Refers more complex issues to higher levels.

Conduct final factory inspection of oilfield equipment.

Prepare test procedures before and after factory acceptance testing.

Cleans up components after assembly according to FMC specifications and verbal or written instructions.

Inputs labor details into Labor Tracking System (LTS) for cost tracking purposes.

Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components and subassemblies from one work or storage area to another as required.

Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area. Practices good housekeeping in work area.

Require to assists others during assembly of components in area of expertise. Teaches other assemblers proper techniques and procedures for mastered key subassemblies.

Ensure that every work activity carry out comply towards company HSES rules which as below or whichever higher and prevail; a. TechnipFMC Pulse formula of success “Inspire + Interact + Intervene = Strong HSES Culture”. b. TechnipFMC Life Saving Rules c. The governmental HSES rules. d. Other requirement which prescript according to project / client/ contractor onsite/ external requirement that in service of the tenure the project.

Qualifications
  • At least 3-4 years relevant working experience in a mechanical role.
  • Preferably SPM/certificate qualification and above or equivalent.
  • Clear understanding of general mathematics with ability to write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to use personal computer or workstation.
  • Ability to operate high and low pressure pumps, hydrostatic pumps, high torque wrenches, overhead cranes, jib cranes, forklifts, and rigging.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools and measuring devices such as height gauges, adjustable parallels, calipers and pressure gauges.
