Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for leading regional sales operations and offline market expansion, ensuring strong commercial performance and visibility within the assigned area.

This role requires a strategic yet hands-on leader who can balance sales execution, team development, and distributor management, while maintaining close collaboration with both local and expatriate stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines data-driven decision-making with strong field leadership and agility in fast-paced FMCG environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage sales, coverage, and distribution performance across the assigned region.
  • Drive offline channel expansion and visibility, ensuring sustainable sell-in and sell-out growth across GT, MT, and other retail channels.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with distributors, sub-distributors, and key trade partners to achieve business targets.
  • Collaborate with trade marketing, finance, and supply chain to ensure smooth operational execution.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to support business decisions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop sales teams, ensuring route effectiveness, discipline, and productivity.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional and expatriate leaders to align priorities and deliver consistent execution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
  • Min. 3 years of experience in FMCG managerial sales role.
  • Proven success in distributor management, field leadership, and route-to-market implementation.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and spoken.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging expatriate leaders.
  • Highly adaptable and results-oriented, thriving in fast-paced FMCG environments.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to manage regional operations.
