Job summary

RHB Bank is seeking a database-focused professional to support, maintain, and optimize its critical data systems. The role involves testing, developing, and supporting Back Office, RHB Tradesmart, E-KYC, and related databases, ensuring high availability and data integrity.

Responsibilities include performance tuning, security hardening, DR/BCP testing, and collaborating with clients to implement changes and reports.

Responsibilities

• Conducting applications perform testing in development server before it is implemented.
• Establishing a detailed program specification through discussion with clients;
• Implement new applications, modification of program specifications into simple elements and translate into a programming language.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for Back Office systems and related Front Office interfaces.
• Learning and mastering applications implemented thoroughly, to provide good end-user support.
• Develop an application when needed, usually to enable data access for quick reporting.
• Devising possible solutions to anticipated problems.
• Evaluating and increasing the program's effectiveness.
• Adapting the program to new requirements, as necessary.
• Updating, repairing, modifying and developing existing software and generic applications.
• Conducting and documented periodic testing capacity.
• Conducting an assessment of the performance and weaknesses of the technology used.
• Manage and oversee company database standards, and requirements.
• Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
• Develop processes for optimizing database security.
• Performance tuning of database systems.
• Install, upgrade, patching and manage database applications.
• Manage database backup, restoring, replication to HA and DR site.
• Manage database for DRP and BCP tests.
• Develop data query and reporting.
• Database administrator for S21 Back Office, E-KYC, RHB Tradesmart id, Workflow, FRA, Horizon Market Making System, and other database as required.

Job description

• Provide Support, and troubleshooting for Back Office system, bank RDN, Job Batching and Trade done file from Front Office System.

• Develop an application when there is a need, usually associated with data access to generate report quickly which at the time was not yet available in the system.
