Role Description
Application Development Manager – Process / Online Instruments (Jakarta, Indonesia). The position supports Hach’s Process / Online Instruments business, reporting to the Sales Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive growth for Hach’s Process / Online Instruments portfolio in Indonesia by identifying, shaping, and enabling strategic and complex opportunities.
- Build a healthy funnel coverage, improve visibility to upcoming projects, support account penetration, and increase conversion of high‑value project and installed‑base opportunities.
- Provide technical and application expertise for Hach’s process and online instrumentation solutions; analyze customer processes, operating conditions, and data to identify application opportunities and quantify performance, efficiency, compliance, or cost benefits.
- Work closely with customers, consultants, EPCs, and channel partners to understand process needs, position the right solutions, and translate customer requirements into commercially viable opportunities.
- Act as an enabler for the sales team to see more and win more opportunities, partnering with field sales and channel teams throughout the sales cycle.
- Develop annual growth plans for the assigned portfolio, including target segments, demand creation priorities, competitor response, product mix, and launch execution for new products or solutions.
- Maintain strong funnel visibility, support accurate forecasting, review strategic projects regularly, and develop action plans to deliver growth objectives.
- Train and coach internal sales teams, channel partners, and customers on process applications, solution selling, and customer value propositions; deliver technical, product, and application presentations at customer offices and industry events.
- Collaborate with sales, service, marketing, product management, and regional leadership teams to align customer needs, market priorities, and growth initiatives; contribute to product planning and commercial learning activities.
- Use standard commercial tools and CRM processes, including SFDC and project pursuit management, to ensure disciplined opportunity tracking and execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Instrumentation, Process Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8–10 years of experience in application development, technical sales, sales support, business development, or strategic project pursuit within process instrumentation, online analyzers, water quality monitoring, or related industrial solutions.
- Strong understanding of industrial and municipal water and wastewater processes, continuous monitoring applications, and customer process challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, shape technical‑commercial solutions, quantify value, and support opportunity conversion in a consultative selling environment.
- Experience working with channel partners, consultants, EPCs, or third‑party sales networks (preferred).
- Strong business planning, funnel management, forecasting, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build credibility quickly, work effectively across functions, and influence teams without direct authority.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as SFDC and disciplined project pursuit management.
- Willingness to travel within Indonesia based on business needs.
- Strong English and Bahasa Indonesia communication skills (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in online instrumentation, process analyzers, sensors, controllers, and digital water monitoring solutions.
- Exposure to key industrial and municipal segments in Indonesia, including Power, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, Chemical, Metal Mining, EPC, and other process industries.
- Experience supporting product launches, demand generation initiatives, strategic market development programs, or complex opportunity management.
