As a Data Engineer, you will:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support business insights and analytics.
2. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
3. Build and optimize data architectures for high performance, reliability, and scalability.
4. Implement and manage ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from various sources into centralized systems.
5. Ensure data security, quality, and governance in compliance with best practices and regulations.
6. Troubleshoot data issues and support analytics and business teams.

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

1. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data manipulation and pipeline development.
2. Experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks like Apache Airflow, Talend, or Informatica.
3. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS (Glue, Redshift, S3), Azure (Data Factory, Synapse), or Google Cloud (BigQuery, Dataflow).
4. Experience with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, Databricks, or similar.
5. Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
6. Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
7. Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Relevant experience in data engineering or similar roles.
