Job summary

Wesco seeks an Analyst - Environmental Health and Safety to outline and implement training programs on work and environmental safety, and incident prevention. You will develop materials, track accidents, perform inspections, and ensure regulatory compliance across facilities and processes.

You will collaborate with safety officers, communicate technical information, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of government and industry safety regulations to keep people safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in occupational health and safety or related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in environmental, health and safety.
• Minimum of 1 year’ experience in the mining/ electrical/ manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections ensuring compliance with EHS standards.

• Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

Job description

As the Analyst - Environmental Health and Safety you will outline and implement training programs to educate and inform workforce on work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention regulations and procedures. You will develop and distribute educational materials including videos, guides, and posters. You will track and document accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents. You will perform inspections and audits of facilities, equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. You may participate in the training of workplace safety officers. You will have a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations.
