In Indonesia, the company works closely with telecommunications operators, enterprises, government institutions, and other strategic stakeholders to support the country’s digital infrastructure development. The organization is seeking an experienced legal and commercial professional to support its growing portfolio of complex, high-value projects.

Job Role

The Advisory Contract Manager will serve as a key advisor across legal, commercial, contract, and risk management matters for major telecommunications and ICT projects. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including contract review, drafting, negotiation, risk identification, internal authorization, and contractual fulfillment.

The position works closely with sales, finance, technical, and management teams to ensure commercial agreements are properly structured, compliant with applicable requirements, and aligned with business objectives. The role also supports contract quality improvement, internal control governance, and risk mitigation throughout the sales and project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end contract activities, including contract review, drafting, revision, and negotiation for telecommunications and ICT projects.
• Provide commercial and legal solutions to support sales transactions while maintaining appropriate contractual protections.
• Review and analyze contractual terms to identify potential commercial, legal, financial, and operational risks.
• Oversee contractual fulfillment and monitor compliance with agreed milestones, obligations, delivery terms, and project requirements.
• Manage sales authorization processes, risk disclosures, and internal contract approval workflows.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks relating to liabilities, penalties, warranties, trade compliance, cybersecurity, data privacy, and other key commercial provisions.
• Develop and improve internal processes and controls related to contract risk management and commercial transactions.
• Establish contract quality improvement initiatives and support continuous enhancement of contract terms and transaction practices.
• Analyze customer financial information and project financial models to support commercial decision-making, including revenue recognition, budgeting, and project estimation.
• Collaborate with sales, finance, technical, and management teams to resolve contractual and commercial issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support customer communication and negotiations involving complex commercial and contractual matters.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in contract management, legal, commercial, or related roles.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in contract review and analysis.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in contract drafting.
• Minimum 2 years of direct experience in contract negotiation.
• Experience in the Telecommunications or ICT industry is strongly preferred; experience in EPC or similar complex project-based industries is required.
• Strong understanding of international trade rules, trade compliance, and import/export regulations.
• Good knowledge of international commercial law, finance-related legal matters, cybersecurity, data privacy, competition law, and local contract regulations.
• Strong understanding of commercial and project finance fundamentals, including revenue recognition, project estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to identify contractual risks and draft appropriate risk mitigation provisions.
• Experience handling complex commercial agreements and large-scale projects.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional-level English proficiency, both written and spoken, with the ability to draft, review, negotiate, and finalize complex commercial agreements.
• Able to work independently as a single contributor while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and senior management teams.
