Job summary

ANDRITZ in Jakarta, Indonesia is seeking an Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer to join its Digital Products & Solutions team. You will work with process and automation experts to optimize pulp and paper operations using METRIS software for real-time monitoring and control.

The role involves designing control strategies, integrating sensors, tuning loops, and training customer personnel, with travel up to 20-50%. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3+ years in process control are required.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in process control and automation.
• Proficiency with DCS/PLC and data analysis tools.
• Proficient in English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply deep knowledge of process control to analyze Pulp & Paper processes.
• Collaborate with customers to assess processes and recommend advanced control solutions.
• Design and develop control solutions and integrate sensors and instrumentation.
• Oversee implementation, tuning, and testing of control systems at the mill.
• Monitors mill performance using METRIS; fine-tunes algorithms for optimization.
• Assist in training customer personnel on advanced control systems.
