Job summary

PT Samdo Accounting Indonesia, based in Jakarta, seeks an experienced Accounting Manager Consultant to lead the accounting team and ensure accurate, timely client deliverables. The salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 7 years of relevant accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven ability to prepare full-set financial statements and to review journal entries in accordance with PSAK.
• Experience across industries such as manufacturing, services, IT and construction.
• Working knowledge of Indonesian tax (WHT and VAT) for reconciliation purposes.

Responsibilities

• Accounting Review: Review journal entries and financial statements prepared by junior and senior staff.
• Ensure entries follow PSAK and correct errors.
• Financial Statement Analytical Review: perform analytical reviews and identify unusual transactions and fluctuations.
• Team Management: assign tasks, supervise work, and manage deadlines across multiple clients.
• New Client Onboarding: set up COA and accounting policies for new clients; determine appropriate treatment.
• External Audit Support: respond to auditor queries, review proposed adjustments, and follow up on findings.
• Client Communication: liaise with clients' management and finance teams about issues and timelines.

PT Samdo Accounting Indonesia is a Jakarta-based accounting and advisory firm serving Korean-affiliated companies in Indonesia. We provide accounting and bookkeeping services to clients across a wide range of industries, and we also support them on tax and advisory matters.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager Consultant to lead our accounting team and make sure the work we deliver to clients is accurate and on time.

The salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

Key responsibilities :

Accounting Review

Review the journal entries and financial statements that junior and senior staff prepare for clients

Correct errors and make sure entries follow Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK)

Financial Statement Analytical Review

Perform analytical reviews of clients' financial statements

Identify new transactions, unusual items and significant fluctuations

Report key findings and issues to the partner in charge

Reconcile Withholding Tax (PPh 21/23/26/4(2)) and VAT (PPN) against the accounting records

Tell the tax team about significant transactions so that WHT and VAT returns are filed correctly

Team Management

Assign tasks to junior and senior staff, supervise their work and give technical guidance

Manage work schedules and deadlines across multiple clients, including month-end and year-end closing

New Client Onboarding

Work out the right accounting treatment for each new client's industry and business model

Set up the chart of accounts and accounting policies for new clients

External Audit Support

Respond to queries from external auditors on clients whose books we maintain

Review the adjustments auditors propose, and if an adjustment is wrong, discuss it with the auditor and ask for a correction

Follow up on audit findings until they are resolved

Client Communication

Communicate with clients' management and finance teams about accounting issues, required documents and reporting timelines

About you

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

At least 7 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role

Proven ability to prepare full-set financial statements and to review journal entries in accordance with PSAK

Experience across a range of industries such as manufacturing, services, IT and construction

Working knowledge of Indonesian tax (WHT and VAT) for reconciliation purposes

Strong leadership, a sense of responsibility and attention to detail

Good command of Microsoft Excel and accounting software

CA (IAI) or CPA qualification is preferred

Experience in a public accounting firm (KAP) or an accounting service firm is strongly preferred

English proficiency is an advantage
