We're seeking a detail orientated Accountant / Bookkeeper to help our client, a CFO Finance Advisory in New Zealand. In this remote position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the consultancy's clients by ensuring accurate accounting records and work directly with the CFO. Role Intro

Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements on a monthly and annual basis (Monthly Cost Accrual Management and Financial Reports)Process accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts to ensure accuracyManage payroll (fortnightly), bank reconciliations and cashflow managementAssist with tax preparation and planning, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (GST and PAYE)Track and manage budgets, reporting any discrepancies or issuesProvide reports and insights to management regarding financial performanceUtilise Xero software (integration with 3rd party apps) to streamline operations and maintain organised records

Must Have
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper
  • Expert proficiency in accounting software Microsoft Excel and Xero
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, be proactive and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Access to your own computer/laptop and a reliable internet connection
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Availability to work during NZ hours remotely
Nice to have
  • Marketing Agency and/or FMCG Bookkeeping experience
  • Shopify and/or Afterpay Xero Integration experience
