About the Role:
As an Account Officer (Lending), you will be responsible for acquiring, developing, and managing a high-quality loan portfolio to support sustainable credit growth. You will serve as the Bank’s frontline representative in identifying customer financing needs, offering tailored credit solutions, and building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with both individual and business clients.
This role plays a critical part in driving healthy and responsible credit expansion through proactive customer engagement, deep credit analysis, and structured risk mitigation. Your performance will have a direct impact on the branch’s lending growth and the overall credit quality of the Bank.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Acquire new borrowers across individual and business segments to grow the branch’s lending portfolio in line with Bank targets.
- Assess customer financing needs and offer suitable credit products, including working capital, investment, and other loan types.
- Conduct in-depth business visits and interviews to evaluate the financial condition, character, and business prospects of prospective borrowers.
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals (new or renewal) including financial analysis, payment structure, risk mitigation, and compliance with Bank policies.
- Ensure the completeness of loan documentation and coordinate with supporting units (legal, risk, credit review) for timely approval and disbursement.
- Monitor loan performance, payment behavior, and early warning indicators to ensure portfolio health.
- Maintain strong relationships with borrowers to support repeat financing opportunities and cross-selling of other Bank products.
- Collaborate with operations and legal teams to ensure smooth disbursement, agreement signing, and collateral processing.
- Report on credit pipeline, portfolio updates, and risk alerts to the Branch Manager.
- Refer funding needs to Account Officer (Funding) when applicable.
- Escalate unresolved customer needs or issues to contribute to product development and service improvement.
- Support achievement of branch credit KPIs through regular customer visits and active pipeline management.
About You:
We are looking for a credit-savvy, relationship-driven professional who:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in any major.
- Has at least 2 years of experience in marketing and lending within the banking industry.
- Possesses strong knowledge of loan products, credit principles, and risk assessment.
- Understands Bank credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Brings a strong network of existing or potential borrowers (preferred).
- Demonstrates solid financial analysis and credit proposal writing skills.
- Excels in communication, negotiation, and relationship management.
- Is proactive, customer-focused, and target-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
