We are hiring: Account Manager – Central Java (GT Operations)

We’re looking for an Account Manager – Central Java to join our growing FMCG General Trade (GT) team. This role focuses on developing and managing distributor relationships across the Central Java region.

The Account Manager will be responsible for acquiring new distributors, maintaining existing ones, and ensuring consistent sales growth through repeat orders, brand promotion, and strong field execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, data-driven, and comfortable working in the field to achieve targets and build long-term business partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing distributors through regular communication and market visits across Central Java to ensure smooth and consistent transactions.
  • Acquire new distributors by conducting field due diligence — assessing business reputation, payment history, and distribution capability to ensure alignment with Baskit’s sales and operational standards.
  • Drive new purchase orders (POs) from existing and new distributors, supporting them to increase order volume month by month.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance for each distributor and brand, including sell-out results, stock levels, and order consistency through regular market checks.
  • Achieve monthly sales (GMV) and net margin targets by driving repeat orders, upselling multiple brands, and maximizing brand penetration per distributor.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams (brand, logistics, and finance) to ensure smooth PO fulfillment, monitor delivery status, and share actionable insights on order and stock performance.
  • Follow up on invoice payments by sending timely reminders, ensuring full payment collection, and maintaining healthy cash flow.
  • Provide weekly and monthly updates on distributor performance, area coverage, sales pipeline, and market developments to the commercial team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 2–5 years of experience in FMCG sales, distribution management, or field operations (General Trade experience preferred).
  • Strong networking and negotiation skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.
  • Good understanding of sales and distribution systems including order cycles, stock flow, and payment collection.
  • Willing to travel frequently across cities and kabupaten in Central Java.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in basic reporting using Google Sheets / Excel and comfortable using mobile-based tools or apps for daily reporting.
