Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking an Advisory Portfolio Management professional in Hong Kong to manage advisory portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth clients. You will collaborate with Investment Representatives to deliver market insights and a range of advisory services, including client advisory, fund sourcing, and transaction management.

Qualifications

• University graduate in business-oriented disciplines.
• 4-8 years of professional experience in the financial industry with an analytical background.
• Strong interest in institutional research capabilities, financial markets, investment managers and economic dynamics.
• Solid understanding of the wealth management industry, and awareness of product and regulatory developments in markets and fund products.
• Conscientiousness about product risk principles.
• Proactive self-starter with the ability to multi-task, manage tight schedules and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility, entrepreneurial mindset and meticulousness as key success indicators.
• Abundant interpersonal skills, highly collaborative and able to engage effectively with business stakeholders across investment and wealth management.
• Excellent communication skills, including writing and public-speaking in English and Mandarin (Cantonese and other languages a plus).
• Advanced proficiency across desktop applications and enthusiasm for AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory services as lead/sub-lead advisor to clients across asset classes and funds.
• Respond to client enquiries and feedback.
• Monitor account progress and performance.
• Deliver updates and portfolio implementation advice with regular reviews and reporting.
• Prepare marketing material, proposals and presentations.
• Source and originate fund opportunities and present to IMS committee.
• Coordinate with internal teams on product onboarding and execution processes.
• Take client orders and oversee trade execution and settlement across multiple asset classes.
• Ensure compliance with AWM policy and product suitability checks.
• Contribute to IMS business development and strategic initiatives.
