Vice President, P4, Lead Cybersecurity Engineer

Morgan Stanley is seeking an ambitious candidate to join their Global eDiscovery and Investigations group as a Technical Lead based in Hong Kong. The group is responsible for managing requests for electronic data and digital forensic investigations that relate to Litigation, Regulatory matters, Compliance, Employee Investigations as well as Incident Response and Cyber Security events. The team ensures that requests are adequately formed, tracked and responded to in an efficient and accurate manner. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic global function in the Singapore office.

eDiscovery

The eDiscovery function involves performing eDiscovery work that includes collecting and analyzing data from electronic data sources such as email archives, infrastructure logs and network file servers. The data will be provided to clients both internal and external to the Firm.

Forensic Investigation

The Digital Forensic function involves conducting digital investigations, which includes collecting and analyzing data from electronic sources such as infrastructure logs, hosted application logs, Windows and Linux endpoints, network file servers, and eCommunications archives. Communicating complex technical matters and extensive interaction is required with colleagues both internal and external to IT including Legal, Corporate Security, Human Resources, IT Security, Engineering teams, and other Business groups.

Skills Required
  • Experience in leading digital investigations or incident management; stakeholder engagement, defining objectives, collecting and analysing evidence, presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical mindset – ability to take information from various sources and draw investigative conclusions, risk indicators etc.
  • Strong technical ability in the Windows and Linux environments, preferably within a large distributed organization.
  • Digital and Network investigation expertise – strong working knowledge on the acquisition and analysis of key artefacts from network, endpoint and mobile systems.
  • Strong SIEM data analysis and correlation skills with comfort to work through complex data sets, Log Analysis and correlation e.g. proxy, application, authentication, networking and security events.
  • Scripting capability (e.g. with Python, Perl, PowerShell) for data processing and automation.
  • Strong organizational skills – with good time management, ability to handle multiple priorities, detail-oriented and prioritize works with good judgement.
  • High level of work ethic – demonstrated by following policies and procedures, making good judgement and escalating issues promptly.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.
  • Very strong verbal and written Chinese and English communication skills with strong ability to articulate complex issues concisely.
Skills Desired
  • Solid work experience of 5+ years in financial services sector, eDiscovery, digital investigations, litigation support or project management.
  • Experience in working with people in different regions and time zones.
  • Cybersecurity certifications is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Experience with handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Knowledge of AI, M365 and Cloud environment is a plus.
  • Forensic analysis of email, understanding email flow, headers etc.
  • Experience with Axiom, NUIX, Cellebrite, Tanium, Purview, MDE.
  • Experience in the forensic acquisition and analysis of iOS and Android mobile devices is a plus but not mandatory.
