Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) in Hong Kong seeks a talented architect/ designer to join our studio, delivering innovative, high‑quality architectural projects across disciplines. You will lead design portions, collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams, and contribute to sustainable, award‑winning solutions.

Ideal candidates have a professional degree in architecture, at least four years of experience, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Suite, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of a professional degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Professional licensure process is close to completion; LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, parametric and rendering software, and Adobe Suite.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Actively leads distinct portions of a project with periodic supervision by Project Leadership.
• Produces, coordinates and/or oversees diagrams, 3D models, drawings, renderings and animations.
• Effectively communicates internally with project teams and externally with consultants and clients.
• Creates and innovates with strong conceptual design ability; integrates interdisciplinary criteria.
• Collaborates at project, consultant, and client team levels; contributes to the studio and office.
• Demonstrates understanding of materials, systems, codes and construction techniques; uses tools to design and document.
• Manages time and workload of own work and others to meet deadlines; mentors staff.
• Inspires and leads others; contributes to development of staff knowledge and standards.
