Li & Fung is seeking an experienced Merchandise Manager (Food Products) to drive sourcing and supply chain execution for the U.S. market. You will manage supplier partnerships, execute sourcing strategies, ensure product quality and compliance, and deliver competitive solutions for customers.

The role requires strong knowledge of U.S. food regulations and collaboration with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and timely delivery.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Food Science.
• At least 7 years of experience in sourcing/merchandising within the food industry.
• Proven track record in sourcing food products for the U.S. market.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. food regulations, food safety standards, supplier compliance, and import requirements.
• Experience working with international retailers, brands, and suppliers across Asia.
• Demonstrated capability in supplier development, commercial negotiations, stakeholder management, and contract management.
• Strong analytical, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of sustainability and responsible sourcing practices is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the main sourcing point of contact for clients, delivering tailored solutions and market intelligence throughout the product lifecycle.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with food suppliers to ensure optimal quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Maintain strong supplier partnerships and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Ensure products and suppliers comply with food safety regulations, ethical standards, and customer requirements.
• Assist with supplier audits and resolve quality or compliance issues.
• Coordinate production and delivery schedules while managing supply continuity.
• Monitor supply chain risks and establish contingency plans for potential disruptions.
• Analyze raw material costs and market trends to execute cost-optimization initiatives.
• Deliver sourcing analyses, cost-saving proposals, and budget forecasts to key stakeholders.
• Track emerging food industry trends, technologies, and regulatory developments.
• Identify new supplier and product opportunities to deliver market value.
