Job summary

Tower Research Capital in Hong Kong is seeking a senior C++ developer to help design and build a high-performance electronic trading platform with a focus on low-latency systems and scalable infrastructure.

The role requires 5+ years in C++ development, strong algorithms knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment. English communication is essential; Linux and networking knowledge are a plus, as are Python and shell scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years C++ development experience, preferably in a trading environment.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming in C++.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong English business communication skills.
• Good understanding of Linux and networking (TCP/IP and UDP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Python and shell scripts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing a high-frequency trading platform, which includes collecting quotes and trades from and disseminating orders to exchanges around the world.
• Optimizing this platform by using network and systems programming, as well as other advanced techniques to minimize latency.
• Developing systems that provide easy access to historical market data and trading simulations.
• Creating tools to analyze data for patterns.
• Building risk-management and performance-tracking tools.

The Core Engineering Markets team is responsible for providing Tower’s trading strategies access to a wide and continually growing range of financial markets globally, including but not limited to providing access to new markets, developing cutting edge technical capabilities, ensuring optimal performance, and providing expert market intelligence.
