Occasions Asia Pacific is seeking a hands-on Social Media Strategist to own day-to-day strategy and execution across platforms, turning insights into high-performing content. You will use AI tools to create faster, smarter outputs while maintaining brand voice.

We are looking for a hands-on Social Media Strategist who can own day-to-day strategy and execution across platforms, turn insights into high-performing content, and confidently use AI tools to create faster and smarter.
This middle-level role is ideal for someone with 3-4 years of solid social media experience who is ready to take greater ownership of strategy, content systems, and performance - while still being actively involved in creation and optimisation.
Develop and manage social media strategy (content pillars, posting calendars, growth tactics, and platform priorities) across key channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok/Douyin, Xiaohongshu, LinkedIn, WeChat, etc.).
Set and track clear KPIs (engagement, follower growth, reach, conversion, sentiment) and continuously optimise content and campaigns based on data.
Plan, create, and oversee high-quality platform-native content, including short-form video, Reels, carousels, and AI-assisted assets.
Run organic and paid social campaigns, community engagement, and basic influencer/KOL collaborations.
Use generative AI tools effectively to speed up content ideation, production, and testing while maintaining brand quality and voice.
Monitor trends, audience behaviour, and competitors (Hong Kong + Greater China + international) to keep strategy relevant.
Collaborate with internal teams (creative, brand, marketing) and external partners; provide clear briefs and feedback.
Prepare regular performance reports with clear insights and recommendations.
Support and occasionally mentor junior content creators or freelancers.
3-4 years of hands-on social media or digital content experience, with proven involvement in strategy, content planning, and performance improvement.
Track record of growing engagement, followers, or conversions (please share specific examples or metrics).
Experience managing multiple platforms; familiarity with both Western platforms and China platforms (Douyin, Xiaohongshu, WeChat) is a strong plus.
Practical experience using AI tools for content creation (e.g. CapCut AI, Midjourney, Runway, Kling, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Canva AI, etc.).
Strong content sense and ability to create or direct visually and verbally compelling posts and short-form video.
Comfortable with analytics, basic A/B testing, and turning data into action.
Good project management, communication, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Fluency in English required; Cantonese and/or Mandarin highly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field preferred.
Experience in [your industry – e.g. lifestyle, F&B, retail, finance, entertainment].
Previous exposure to paid social or influencer campaigns.
