Job summary

BIT is seeking a Regulatory Leader in Hong Kong to oversee SFC Type 1/Type 4 licensing, governance and compliance for its digital asset group. You will drive licence applications, design controls and ensure AML/CFT readiness across operations.

You will partner with product, legal and external counsel to implement risk policies, supervise regulated activities and embed regulatory knowledge into daily business decisions.

Qualifications

• SFC-approved Responsible Officer for Type 1 and Type 4
• Hong Kong based and available to supervise regulated activities
• Minimum 10 years in securities dealing and/or advisory
• At least 5 years in a supervisory capacity
• Proven record of building compliance frameworks and licence applications end to end
• Experience with SFC/HKMA Joint Circulars and regulatory regimes
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for the SFC, external counsel, auditors and key stakeholders; lead Type 1/Type 4 licence applications to grant
• Establish, refine and enforce internal control systems, risk management policies aligned with SFC codes
• Supervise post-licensure daily operations, ensuring adherence to SFO, Code of Conduct, FRR and AML/CFT requirements
• Collaborate with product and business leads to align regulatory requirements with product strategy
• Bridge regulatory requirements across technical, product and compliance teams
