The South China Morning Post Publishers Ltd is seeking a producer to help determine the daily video news agenda and tell stories from Hong Kong, China and around the world. This role will shape the video offering for years to come, with short form, long form, explainers and interviews.

You will lead a news shift, managing associate producers to cover top stories and ensure scripts are accurate, engaging and aligned with house style.

Responsibilities

• Lead a news shift, managing a team of associate producers to make videos covering the top stories, with a focus on news from Hong Kong, China and Asia, and major breaking news from elsewhere in the world
• Con through the news and social media to identify stories and elements for news video that is of interest to our key audiences
• Assign stories to associate producers, giving them a clear focus and elements
• Edit their scripts for accuracy, story flow, grammar and adherence to house style

Help determine the daily video news agenda for the South China Morning Post’s award-winning video team and tell stories from Hong Kong, China and around the world.
