Job summary

Maxx Marketing Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Project Engineer to lead new product development, provide technical support, and maintain project documentation throughout the lifecycle from design to shipment.

The role focuses on cost estimation, process optimization, and production efficiency while ensuring product quality and compliance with EN71 and ASTM toy safety standards. Travel to China and overseas is expected; seniority possible for more experience.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the consumer retail toy and/or premium industry.
• In-depth knowledge of toy safety regulations (EN71, ASTM).
• Strong project management skills with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Proficient in CAD for product design and development.
• Willing to travel to China and overseas as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee new item development, ensuring smooth execution from design stage to shipment completion.
• Provide technical support, including preparing and compiling necessary project documentation.
• Conduct cost estimation and quotation, identifying cost reduction opportunities and implementing efficiency improvements in production.
• Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of product design and manufacturing processes.
• Analyze estimated vs. actual manufacturing costs, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions to optimize cost management.
