Job summary

China Merchants Securities International Company Limited in Hong Kong seeks an Associate to VP, System Developer for Derivatives Trading to collaborate with quantitative teams, traders and developers in building trading engines, backend services and APIs.

You will design front-end data visualizations for daily desk operations, apply AI tooling to improve coding efficiency, and support internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Engineering or related disciplines from top domestic and overseas universities.
• Minimum 3 years full-stack development experience on medium and large-scale software projects.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, standardized coding management capabilities, and full-cycle project delivery experience.
• Skilled in utilizing mainstream AI development tools to improve coding efficiency, including code generation, debugging, refactoring, unit testing and architecture optimization, capable of reviewing, verifying and iterating AI-generated code professionally.
• Prior experience in front-office trading system development is highly preferred.
• Proficient in FIX protocol.
• Fluent professional English for internal and cross-party communication.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with quantitative teams, traders and technical developers to develop, iterate and maintain trading core engines, backend services and application APIs.
• Design and develop front-end data visualization modules to support daily trading desk operations.
• Proactively learn emerging technologies and technical frameworks, and apply them efficiently into routine system development to match evolving business demands.
• Provide IT technical support to external counterparties, and communicate internally with department management, traders, quants and operation teams.
• Undertake other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors.
