Job summary

Candidates should have 5-10+ years of applied experience, strong 3D modelling skills, proficiency in geostatistics, and the ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of applied resource estimation experience in exploration, operational or corporate settings.
• Solid geological understanding of various mineralisation styles with 3D geological modelling skills.
• Experience with modern implicit modelling tools is beneficial.
• Strong geostatistical skills and proficiency with computerised resource estimation tools.
• Ability to work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Fluency in English and Chinese is required.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally; flexible to work remotely.

SRK Consulting is seeking a resource geologist to join our strategic office in Hong Kong.

SRK Consulting is a global mining consultancy with more than 1,800 professional consultants working across 50 offices in 20 countries on six continents. Established in 2012, SRK Hong Kong, located in the region’s international financial centre, provides technical due diligence, valuation, exploration geology and resource evaluation services to a wide range of clients, from major SOEs and private enterprises to financial institutions. As one of the SRK Asia-Pacific practices, there is substantial collaboration with other practices in Australia, Mainland China and Mongolia, as well as other regions.

Key Requirements

5-10+ years of applied resource estimation experience in an exploration, operational or corporate capacity

Sound geological understanding of various mineralisation styles with 3D geological modeling skills

Experience with modern implicit modelling tools is beneficial

Strong geostatistical skills and proficiency with computerised resource estimation tools

Ability to work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary project teams

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Some prior consulting experience is preferred

Familiar with international exploration results and mineral resource reporting standards, such as the JORC Code.

Flexibility to travel locally and internationally

Flexibility to work remotely
