Job summary

Mass Transit Railway seeks a Legal Advisor - Property in Hong Kong to provide comprehensive legal guidance on its property development, investment and management activities. The role involves drafting and reviewing property documents and ensuring compliance with relevant ordinances.

You will liaise with external professionals and manage DMCs, pre-sale consents and assignments, with responsibilities spanning Mainland China and other jurisdictions as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law or post-graduate legal qualification.
• Be a qualified lawyer in Hong Kong with a minimum of 6 years’ post‑qualification experience in property development, leasing and management.
• Experience with property-related statutes and conveyancing procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on property development, investment property and property management portfolios.
• Draft and scrutinise property-related transaction documents with tenderers, developers, contractors, service providers, purchasers, tenants and licensees.
• Handle Deed of Mutual Covenants (DMCs), pre-sale consent applications and consent to assign applications; conduct legal researches.
