Job summary

Referment is partnering with a global investment manager to hire a Networking and Security Engineer within its Technology Infrastructure function in Hong Kong. You will join a small team that owns connectivity, availability and defensive strength across a multi-site network estate, with genuine responsibility for both networking and security.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in infrastructure, networking and security roles.
• Hands-on Windows Server and Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) experience.
• Strong TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS and DHCP with Cisco experience.
• Experience implementing security controls: patching, hardening, endpoint protection.
• Familiar with cyber security principles and AI-driven threat vectors.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware) and SAN/NAS storage.
• Ability to balance BAU with projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain network infrastructure across Cisco devices.
• Own SD-WAN architecture end-to-end across sites.
• Manage firewall infrastructure including rule-base and segmentation.
• Lead security operations: threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management.
• Monitor events across network with log analysis and threat hunting.
• Drive hardening across devices, servers, endpoints and cloud-adjacent systems.
• Run network and vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.
• Improve SIEM/EDR/IDS/IPS and integration with network.
• Escalation point for incidents; work across Windows Server and Linux estates.
