Job summary

The University of Hong Kong is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to lead audits, supervise field work, and drive risk-based assurance across the University. You will report to the Director of Internal Audit and guide a team to deliver high‑quality reports with actionable recommendations.

Qualifications include 8–12 years in internal audit or related fields, professional certifications, and strong data analytics skills in Power BI/Tableau/ACL.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years’ relevant work experience in internal audit, governance, risk management and / or compliance.
• Internal audit qualifications such as CIA, CISA or CFE are required.
• Experience in universities or educational institutions is preferred.
• Strong command of English and Chinese; Mandarin is highly preferred.
• Data analytics skills with Power BI, Tableau or ACL and use of AI for audits.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in PC and accounting software; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of assigned audits aligned with the Annual Audit Plan and ad hoc assignments.
• Conduct risk-based audits in accordance with Global Internal Audit Standards and governing laws and regulations.
• Review findings, ensure quality audit reporting, and provide actionable recommendations to address identified risks.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and progress reporting.
• Support enhancement of audit processes using technology, analytics and market best practices.
• Coach Internal Audit Officers to support team and individual’s professional growth.
