Job summary

ST Engineering in Hong Kong seeks an Export Compliance Manager to oversee governance of defence exports and technology security policies, aligning with Singapore and international export control laws. You will work with internal teams and external authorities to ensure compliant processes for import/export activities.

The role requires a tertiary technical qualification, experience in defence technology controls, and strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in engineering or a technical field is preferred.
• Experience in export controls and defence technology systems, ideally in defence or highly regulated tech industries.
• Good knowledge of Singapore Strategic Goods (Control) Act and US export regulations (ITAR, EAR).

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor export control policies and procedures per Singapore Act and US regulations.
• Support end-user undertakings requests and address queries from internal customers.
• Provide guidance to business units on regulatory changes and license conditions.
• Develop visibility and records for export controlled items and related documents.
• Prepare accurate export/import paperwork and maintain records for audits.
• Participate in export compliance training seminars and initiatives.
• Advise on clearance for foreign visitors and participation in international exhibitions.
