Job summary

CIBC US is seeking an experienced in-house lawyer to support derivatives and trading documentation across the Asia Pacific region from its Hong Kong office. The role focuses on negotiating ISDA Master Agreements, repurchase and securities lending documents, and related collateral agreements, with a view to ensuring compliant and timely execution.

Candidates should have an LL.B. degree and 5–10 years of post-qualification experience, plus strong negotiation and communication skills to interact

Qualifications

• LL.B. degree and 5 to 10 years of post qualification experience.
• Experience in trading and derivative documentation is required.
• Experience with loan-linked derivatives and credit documentation is an asset.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and execute documentation for capital markets products including ISDA Master Agreements and related agreements.
• Provide transactional support for hedging facilities connected to syndicated project finance.
• Advise on regulatory documentation and governance for capital markets in Asia Pacific.
• Collaborate with regional and global Legal teams and manage cross-border deal processes.
