Job summary

BOCI-Prudential Trustee Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced IT professional to join the application team. You will enhance data warehouse projects, lead system enhancements, collect requirements, test, and provide deployment support while ensuring smooth operation of internal systems.

The role requires strong English and Mandarin, over 8 years IT experience, and hands-on knowledge of Oracle/SQL Server, Java or Python, microservices, containers, Git and Jenkins.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT / CS / CE or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years IT experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
• Experience in RDBMS databases such as Oracle, SQL Server.
• Experience in micro-services architecture, containers, Git and Jenkins.
• Experience in programming languages preferably Java, Python, PL/SQL.
• Experience in data warehouse development like ETL is a huge advantage.
• Strong logical thinking, problem-solving, analytical skills and time management.
• Leadership and supervisory experience.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, Excel in particular.
• Experience in financial industry especially custody and fund accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in an application team to enhance and support data warehouse projects.
• Lead system enhancement projects, including requirement collection, testing, and deployment support.
• Provide daily application and system support, ensuring smooth operation of internal systems.
• Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for application systems.
• Work with Business Analysts to provide solutions for business initiatives.
• Coordinate with Technical team in regular support tasks.
• Technical writing for system design and programming logics.
• Handle ad-hoc assignments due to requirements from cybersecurity and risk control.
• Assist in IT audits, security tests and compliance checks related to supported systems.
