Job summary

Lalamove in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior BI Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines, reporting scripts and queries that empower decision making at the senior management level.

You will build data sources, visualizations and comprehensive dashboards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable insights. Strong SQL (Hive, MySQL) and Python scripting are essential, with Tableau experience preferred. Mandarin or Cantonese a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BI or data analysis.
• Proficient in writing efficient SQL for Hive and MySQL; Doris SQL a plus.

As a Senior BI Engineer at Lalamove, you will work with the BIE teams to support different functional departments in terms of building and maintaining the data pipelines, reporting scripts and queries. You also will be designing and creating data sources, visualizations, reports and metrics dashboards for the senior management to make informed decisions based on the analytics developed.

• At least 5 years of work experience in a business intelligence or data analysis role
• Experience working with complex datasets and ability to write efficient SQL queries against Hive and MySQL is a MUST, DORIS SQL as a plus.
• Knowledge of data pipeline, ETL/ELT, workflow management and data warehousing
• Experience using business intelligence platforms for data visualisation, creating and automating dashboards, reports and data sources. Tableau is preferable
• Experience scripting Python for data manipulation, analysis and automation
• Good command of English for communicating technical ideas both orally and in writing. Mandarin is a plus
