Job summary

REAP Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Card Solutions to design and build backend services powering card transactions, fraud detection, and lifecycle management. You’ll work within the Card Engineering team on developer-friendly APIs and scalable architectures that support partners and clients globally.

You’ll collaborate across product, risk, compliance, and engineering, own components end-to-end, implement observable, well-tested code, and help shape engineering

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, fintech or platform focus.
• Backend systems built in typed languages like TypeScript, Java, or Go.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and observability.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate tradeoffs.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced evolving product environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services for card transactions and fraud detection.
• Contribute to architecture decisions focused on performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Finance, and Compliance.
• Write clean, well-tested code in service-oriented architecture.
• Participate in code reviews and incident response.
• Evolve engineering practices as we scale.
