Job summary

BDO Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a lead advisory professional to oversee engagements for financial institutions, including banks and insurers. You will conduct regulatory/compliance reviews aligned with HKMA SPM, SFC codes, and internal policies, while mentoring juniors and developing client relationships.

The role requires a degree in Accounting/Finance, 2+ years in risk management or banking, strong analytical and communication skills, and fluency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance /or any related subjects.
• At least 2 years of related experience, preferably in Risk Management/ Banking or in leading professional services firm.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for conducting in-depth analysis and developing solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Fluent in spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
• Willing to travel

Responsibilities

• Lead and in charge of advisory engagements for financial institutions (FIs) including banks, stock brokers, asset management companies, licensed corporations, authorised institutions, insurers, others etc.
• Conduct regulatory/compliance/internal audit reviews with reference to regulatory requirements (e.g. HKMA SPM, SFC Codes and guidelines) and relevant policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members to ensure their professional development.
• Developing effective business relationships with clients.
• Support and act towards the BDO Global Vision
