Job summary

ST Engineering Advanced Networks & Sensors is seeking an experienced software developer to design, build, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications. You will work on full‑stack or backend systems, integrating APIs, databases, and third-party services.

You will collaborate with solution architects, AI engineers, product managers, QA, DevOps, and other teams in an Agile environment, applying modern development practices including AI-assisted coding and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of hands-on application software development experience.
• Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Understanding of software architecture, OOP, data structures, patterns, and secure coding practices.
• Experience frontend, backend, or full-stack web development using modern frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise, web-based, and cloud-ready applications.
• Translate requirements into technical design, features, and tasks.
• Develop clean, secure, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs, backend services, databases, and third‑party systems.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

The role will report to the Lead Solution Architect. He/She will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-grade software applications that support AI-enabled digital products and advanced connectivity solutions. The ideal candidate should have at least 4 to 5 years of hands-on application software development experience, with strong technical capability in full-stack or backend development, API integration, databases, code quality, testing, and deployment practices. He/She will work closely with solution architects, AI engineers, product managers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions. The role requires a proactive developer who can translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, guide junior developers when required, and apply modern development practices including AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and continuous integration.

• Provide technical guidance to junior developers and support continuous improvement of development standards and practices

Qualities We Value

• Knowledge in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

• At least 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in application software development

• Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript

• Good understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, data structures, design patterns, and secure coding practices

• Experience in frontend, backend, or full-stack development using modern web frameworks and application platforms

• Experience developing and integrating APIs, microservices, databases, and enterprise applications

• Proficient in version control tools such as Git and familiar with branching, merging, and peer review workflows

• Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases, data modelling, and application performance optimisation

• Experience with testing practices including unit testing, integration testing, test automation, and defect resolution

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, cloud platforms, and DevOps tools will be advantageous

• Experience using AI coding assistants or AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot will be advantageous

• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned modules, and deliver quality software within project timelines
