Job summary

ConnectedGroup Limited, a newly established HK hedge fund manager focusing on US equities, seeks an experienced buy-side professional to join the initial investment team. You will contribute to fundamental research and portfolio construction, collaborating with quantitative colleagues to blend insights into systematic models.

The role requires substantial buy-side experience, strong financial modelling and valuation skills, and potential involvement in SFC Type 9 activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of buy-side investment experience at a reputable firm.
• Total professional experience around eight to fourteen years.
• Eligibility to become SFC Responsible Officer for Type 9 Asset Management.
• Strong skills in financial modelling, valuation and company analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental research across US equities with financial modelling and valuation.
• Monitor macro developments and assess implications for portfolio positioning.
• Generate and present investment ideas with theses, frameworks and risk assessments.
• Contribute to portfolio construction and sector allocation on a consensus basis.
• Provide input into proprietary factor models and systematic research.
• Collaborate with quantitative team to integrate observations into systems.
• Participate as a core member of the investment decision-making process.
• Engage in management meetings and investor due diligence as required.
