Job summary

KVB Trading (Hong Kong) Limited seeks a Senior AI Backend Developer to design, build, and deploy AI applications and agentic workflows. You will architect multi-agent systems and tool-augmented LLM pipelines to automate business processes and develop robust Java backends with RESTful APIs.

Required are 5+ years in software development, strong Java and Python skills, experience with enterprise backend architecture, and Mandarin/English proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with AI/LLM application development
• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and Python; production-quality code
• Experience with enterprise backend architecture, RESTful APIs, microservices, data integration
• Experience with prompt engineering and LLM output structuring
• Experience building test harnesses/evaluation frameworks for AI systems
• Solid fundamentals: Git, testing, CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), code review
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL, and data quality management
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
• English and Mandarin/Cantonese mandatory

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI applications and agentic workflows using Python, LangChain, and LangGraph
• Architect multi-agent systems and tool-augmented LLM pipelines to automate complex business processes
• Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend microservices and RESTful/gRPC APIs in Java to integrate AI engines with enterprise financial systems
• Develop and maintain reusable AI skills, backend services, and modular components to enable rapid assembly of new AI features
• Apply prompt engineering best practices to improve LLM performance, consistency, and output quality
• Build test harnesses and evaluation frameworks to systematically measure and improve AI system quality
• Design and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data is clean, timely, and suitable for AI systems
• Implement data quality standards and monitoring to ensure the reliability of data flowing into AI workflows
• Collaborate with product, backend engineering, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions

About you

Strong proficiency in Java (e.g., Spring Boot, enterprise backend frameworks) and Python — clean, testable, production-quality code

Solid experience in enterprise backend architecture, RESTful API design, microservices, and database integration

Experience with prompt engineering and LLM output structuring

Experience building test harnesses or evaluation frameworks for AI systems

Solid engineering fundamentals: Git, testing, CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and code review

Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and data quality management
