Job summary

Morgan Mckinley Limited in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Senior Merchandiser specializing in Accessories (bags, wallets and small leather goods). The role bridges creative design and technical execution, coordinating with overseas HQ Design teams, internal sourcing specialists and factories to drive development from sketch to pre-production handover.

Qualifications

Minimum 5-6 years of merchandising and product development experience.
Strong knowledge of bags, wallets and fashion accessories.
Experience interfacing with international HQ design teams and overseas buying offices.

Responsibilities

Drive end-to-end development for bags, wallets and accessories, ensuring margins and deadlines.
Collaborate with overseas HQ designers to interpret tech packs and produce specs.
Partner with sourcing teams to evaluate leather, canvas, PVC, and other materials.
Oversee prototypes, fittings, workmanship, and counter-samples with vendors.
Conduct cost breakdowns, FOB negotiations and capacity allocation to hit margins.
Coordinate with QA/QC and testing labs to meet chemical, physical, and retail standards.
