Job summary

Robert Half Hong Kong Limited is seeking an experienced Security Officer to support cybersecurity operations across its data centers, office networks, and cloud platforms. The role focuses on security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance within a regulated financial services environment.

You will monitor alerts, triage incidents, assist with investigations, and coordinate remediation with Infrastructure, Network, App, and SOC teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security, CS, IT or related field.
• 3–5 years in Cybersecurity, IT infra, SOC or related environments.
• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and OSs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage security alerts across on‑prem, office networks and cloud.
• Support daily security operations: firewall, VPN, access control, vulnerability mgmt, hardening.
• Assist incident response, root cause analysis and remediation tracking.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate with tech teams.
• Support audits, compliance reviews and security awareness programs.

Job description

Our client, a reputable wealth management institution, is seeking an experienced Security Officer to support cybersecurity operations across its datacenters, office networks, and cloud platforms. This role will be responsible for security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance activities, offering excellent exposure to enterprise security technologies within a regulated financial services environment.

The Role

• Monitor and triage security alerts across on-premises infrastructure, office networks, and cloud environments, escalating potential security incidents and supporting investigations as required.
• Support day-to-day security operations, including firewall, VPN, access control, vulnerability management, and security hardening activities.
• Assist with incident response, root cause analysis, remediation tracking, and maintenance of security documentation and reports.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and follow up with technology teams to ensure timely remediation of identified risks.
• Support security audits, compliance reviews, and cybersecurity awareness initiatives while working closely with Infrastructure, Network, Application, and SOC teams.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in information security, Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline; relevant security certifications are an advantage.
• 3-5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT Infrastructure, Network Operations, SOC, or related environments.
• Good understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability management, and Windows/Linux environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Alibaba Cloud preferred; AWS, Azure, or GCP also considered).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
