Job summary

RedotPay is seeking an on-chain risk specialist to own detection, prevention, and mitigation for wallet and deposit infrastructure. You will design monitoring rules, alerts, and response workflows to protect user funds and support AML/CFT compliance while enabling business growth.

You will work with Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Data to define tooling, dashboards, and decision engines, tune rules, and lead investigations with clear risk assessments and recommended actions.

Qualifications

• 3 years in crypto risk, blockchain analytics, AML monitoring or digital asset compliance/operations.
• Strong blockchain fundamentals and fund flow analysis.
• Hands-on experience with blockchain analytics tools.
• Familiarity with AML/CFT sanctions expectations for VASP.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve on-chain monitoring rules for deposits and address interactions.
• Monitor wallet activity (hot/warm/cold), deposit addresses and high-risk interactions in real time.
• Detect and investigate suspicious behaviours (mixers/tumblers, risky protocols, rapid layering).
• Implement risk controls such as deposit gating, address screening, exposure limits, and intervention workflows.
• Define thresholds by network/token/wallet tier (hot/warm/cold).
• Support decisions to delay/return deposits, freeze addresses, and escalate cases with Ops/Compliance.
• Lead investigations and produce risk assessment reports with recommended actions.
• Maintain case workflows, escalation matrices, and documentation standards.
• Partner with Compliance on sanctions screening and regulatory reporting.
• Work with Product/Engineering/Data to define tooling, dashboards, alerting, and decision engines.
• Tune rules to balance detection quality, false positives, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Wallet/Deposit Ops, Product, Compliance, Legal, and Treasury.

About the Role

Own on-chain risk detection, prevention, and mitigation for our wallet and deposit infrastructure. You’ll build and operate monitoring rules, alerts, and response workflows to protect user funds, prevent illicit/sanctioned inflows, and support AML/CFT compliance—while enabling business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and continuously improve on-chain monitoring rules/models for deposits, address interactions, fund source analysis, and anomalous patterns.
• Monitor company wallet activity (hot/warm/cold), deposit addresses, and high-risk interactions in real time/near real time.
• Detect and investigate suspicious behaviors (e.g., mixers/tumblers, risky protocols, rapid layering, abnormal deposit patterns).
• Implement risk controls such as deposit credit gating, address screening, exposure limits, and intervention workflows (automated/manual).
• Define thresholds by network/token/wallet tier (hot/warm/cold).
• Support decisions such as delaying/returning deposits, freezing addresses, and escalating cases with Ops/Compliance.
• Lead/support investigations and produce clear risk assessment reports with recommended actions (hold/block/release/escalate, SAR/STR/referral).
• Maintain case workflows, escalation matrices, and documentation standards.
• Partner with Compliance on sanctions screening and regulatory reporting.
• Work with Product/Engineering/Data to define tooling, dashboards, alerting, and decision engines.
• Tune rules to balance detection quality, false positives, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Wallet/Deposit Ops, Product, Compliance, Legal, and Treasury.

Requirements

• 3 years in crypto risk, blockchain analytics, AML transaction monitoring, or digital asset compliance/operations (with on-chain/wallet exposure).
• Strong blockchain fundamentals and fund flow analysis (UTXO vs account-based, clustering, fund paths).
• Hands‑on experience with blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, Elliptic, TRM, Arkham, or equivalent).
• Experience designing/operating risk rules, alerts, and case investigations.
• Familiarity with AML/CFT and sanctions expectations for virtual asset service providers.
• Strong analytical/investigative skills and clear communication.

Preferred

• Experience at an exchange/custody provider/analytics firm
• Wallet risk experience beyond deposit screening.
• SQL/data analysis and dashboarding experience.
