Job summary

Centre For Oncology And Immunology Limited invites applications for a Research & Development Technician (Ref.: H03/2023/06) to commence as soon as possible on a fixed-term basis with potential renewal.

The successful candidate will support collaborative cancer biomarker projects using multi-omics, organoid technology and novel animal models, and assist in anti-cancer or immuno-oncology drug development while maintaining lab operations in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines.
• At least 1 year of experience providing technical support to end-users.
• Assist daily operation of a biomedical research laboratory.
• Experience at local universities or core facilities is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist collaborative cancer biomarker research using multi-omics, organoid tech and novel animal models.
• Support anti-cancer or immuno-oncology drug development efforts.
• Maintain smooth day-to-day operation of a biomedical research laboratory.

Applications are invited for appointment as Research & Development Technician (Ref.: H03/2023/06), to commence as soon as possible, on a fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

The appointees are expected to assist collaborative research projects in discovery of cancer biomarkers using large scale multi-omics approach, organoid technology and novel animal models, as well as anti-cancer or immuno-oncology drug development.

Qualifications and Skills:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor degree or above, preferably in Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines, with at least 1 year of experience in providing technical support to end-users and maintenance of lab equipment. He/She would also need to assist in the daily operation of a biomedical research laboratory. Relevant work experiences at the local universities and research core facilities will be an asset.

Familiar with relevant research techniques in FACS analysis, Molecular Biology, CRISPR technologies, Single Cell Technologies, Next Generation Sequencing, 2D/3D Tissue Culture, PCR, Western Blot, ELISA, Cloning, or Drug screening would be an advantage.

The applicants should have a good command of written and spoken English and strong communication skills, team player, self-motivated, organized, detail- minded, hardworking, willing to learn new techniques, and able to work well in a multidisciplinary team.

The appointee shall work in Hong Kong Science and Technology Park.
