Job summary

Flow Traders Hong Kong is seeking a Quantitative Researcher to join its growing trading team. The role requires a strong mathematical background and programming proficiency to generate and backtest new trading ideas, with alpha and automated strategies as end goals.

You will work with Traders and Quant Researchers to build and refine high-frequency models, analyze large datasets, and implement sophisticated quantitative techniques in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of work experience in the field of quantitative research or related area.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science or other STEM field.
• Python programming is a must; MATLAB/C++/JAVA/R or similar are beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills to manipulate large datasets.
• Ability to reason logically, deliver under pressure and take ownership.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create new trading strategies by identifying opportunities through research and analysis.
• Collaborate with Traders and Quantitative Researchers to build, test and optimize models.
• Research and analyze large financial datasets to find exploitable patterns.
• Design and implement complex quantitative models.
