Expedition Funds is seeking a Quantitative Developer to build and optimize high-performance research and trading infrastructure across global markets. You will translate research ideas into production-ready systems and collaborate closely with quantitative researchers and traders.
You will own end-to-end engineering projects, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability while driving efficient research workflows. Strong coding and math skills are essential for success.
Build high-performance research and trading infrastructure supporting systematic strategies across global markets.
Develop and optimize large-scale data processing, backtesting, simulation, and strategy research systems.
Work closely with Quantitative Researchers and Traders to translate research ideas into robust, production-ready systems.
Improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and research efficiency.
Take end-to-end ownership of complex engineering projects, from architecture design to deployment.
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other highly quantitative disciplines from a top-tier university.
Exceptional programming ability in C++ and Python, with strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and system design.
Strong understanding of Linux, concurrency, networking, memory management, and performance optimization.
Demonstrated ability to design and build complex, large-scale systems independently.
Strong mathematical and analytical ability, with excellent problem-solving skills.
Experience with quantitative research, financial data, backtesting, or trading systems is highly preferred.
Proven track record of outstanding engineering or research achievements, such as top-tier technical projects, competitive programming, open-source contributions, or experience at leading technology / quantitative firms.
Strong competitive programming background, such as ICPC / IOI / Codeforces.
Experience optimizing latency-sensitive or high-throughput systems.
Experience with GPU computing, distributed computing, or large-scale machine learning infrastructure.
Demonstrated ability to solve highly complex technical problems with minimal guidance.
