Job summary

Hang Seng Bank Limited invites a capable Product Development Manager (Investment Fund) to join its Investments and Wealth Solutions team in Hong Kong. You will plan and drive the product development lifecycle for investment funds, coordinating with fund houses and internal stakeholders to deliver compelling fund offerings.

The role requires 4–6 years in retail and wealth, a business/finance degree, and strong English and Chinese communication.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Banking or related disciplines.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in retail and wealth business; Assistant Manager for less experienced candidates.
• Hands-on track record in fund or investment product sales is a plus.
• Ability to navigate a complex matrix environment with governance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute product development plan and oversight the overall product line.
• Initiate onboarding of new fund or new fund house to develop new products/solutions and effectively execute end-to-end.
• Contribute to proposition strategy such as pricing, retention, service, communication, and product management across Hang Seng
• Ensure the upcoming and existing products are competitive and meet client needs.
• Strive to maintain leadership in the fund business.

Investments and Wealth Solutions

Hang Seng's Investments and Wealth Solutions offers a full spectrum of wealth products and services to our Retail Banking and Wealth (RBW) customers, from high-net-worth to mass segments across channels to capture opportunity under different market scenarios. We play a distributor role to source investment and insurance products from service providers, manage the product due diligence and onboarding, as well as client journey design and implementation. We distribute investment funds managed by top tier fund managers covering different types of funds, across regions and asset classes. A wide range of structured products with underlying linked to equities, FX rates, interest rates, investment funds, etc. are offered for investors to pursue different investment objectives. We also offer fixed income instruments and certificates of deposit to customers who look for regular coupon payment. Besides, we have securities services covering exchange traded equities in local and overseas markets offered through a wide variety of trading channels. Margin trading services covering FX and securities, and investment financing service provides extra liquidity and purchasing power to cater for investment needs from sophisticated investors.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Product Development Manager (Investment Fund).

• Plan and execute product development plan and oversight the overall product line
• Initiate proposal of onboarding new fund or new fund house to develop new products/ solutions and effective executing the plan effectively end-to-end
• Corporate the proposition strategy such as pricing, retention, service, communication, and product management across HASE
• Ensure the upcoming and existing products would be up to competition among rival banks, and the best needs of clients is well taken care of
• Strive for maintaining the key leading practitioner for the fund business

Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance or related disciplines will be preferred
• Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience and professional qualifications in retail and wealth business. Less experienced candidates may be considered for an Assistant Manager role
• Relevant background and knowledge related to retail product and services, with hands-on track record in business/sales experience on Fund or investment product will be a plus
• Ambitious and willingness to develop business, process and governance framework on new product and service, to achieve commercial purpose and fulfil regulatory and compliance requirements
• Good understanding on banking systems and platforms, and ability to mobilize resources and people from different disciplines to build new product initiatives
• Strategic thinking and strong analytical and communication skills
• Result-oriented with strong business sense
• Good people management skills and communication skill
• Highly effective navigation within a complex matrix environment, governance standard and regulatory context with agile ways of working and strong engagement with different levels of internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective deliverables
