Job summary

International French School (Singapore) Ltd. seeks a specialised teacher to coordinate inclusive education at the secondary level. The role aligns pedagogical, administrative, and human aspects to support students with special educational needs.

The post involves developing tailored support, observing and collaborating with staff, and guiding differentiated teaching to diverse learners, including non-French-speaking students.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher within the French National Education system or equivalent, preferably.
• The 2CA-SH or CAPPEI certification is an advantageous extra.
• Experience in adapted teaching for students with disabilities.
• Experience at secondary level, RASED, ULIS or SEGPA settings is required.
• Knowledge of the French education system and disability support frameworks is needed.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Responsive and available.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong teamwork and project involvement.
• Proficiency with digital tools.
• Ability to adapt to non-French-speaking learners.

Responsibilities

• Implement, lead, and monitor PPREs and contribute to PAP, PPS, or PAI plans.
• Support students with special educational needs within the GAIN framework, individually or in small groups.
• Monitor all student files in collaboration with GAIN and the Academic Leadership team.
• Organise educational team meetings and safeguard/monitoring meetings with Academic Leadership.
• Assist teachers in analyzing learning difficulties and designing appropriate responses.
• Guide teachers toward differentiated classroom practices.
• Assist teachers in designing assessment methods adapted to student needs.
• Facilitate students’ social integration within the school.
• Welcome, inform, and meet parents (key contact).
• Ensure continuity of support during the transition into Year 7 (6ème).
• Maintain links with external professionals.
• Use ICT to support learning.
