Job summary

CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited in Hong Kong seeks an experienced investment leader to oversee fixed‑income portfolios, optimize risk‑adjusted returns, and supervise the investment and research team.

You will steer strategy for both private and public funds in compliance with SFC, manage market updates and portfolio reports, and collaborate with product teams to translate insights into fund development.

Qualifications

• 7+ years proven experience in asset management or fund houses.
• At least 3 years in managing public funds with a track record.
• Strong knowledge of credits, equities, derivatives in responsible markets.
• Experience in managing mutual funds, FoFs, and ETFs.
• Familiar with SFO rules and Code of Conduct for Unit Trusts and Mutual Funds.
• Proficiency in portfolio analysis tools e.g. Bloomberg PORT and trading systems such as Bloomberg AIM.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel for senior management reports.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong analytical and communication skills; team player.

Manage investment portfolios with a focus on fixed income, optimizing returns with measurable risk exposure. Monitor investment transactions and portfolio performance to achieve investment objectives. Lead the investment and research team, formulate strategy for investment portfolios, and facilitate the establishment of both private and public funds in compliance with regulatory requirements set by regulators (SFC). Lead the product authorization process, work closely with SFC to obtain necessary approvals, and formulate and implement relevant policies for running public funds. Conduct market updates and investment and portfolio/products reports. Work with the product team to provide investment and research insights for product development and management.

Principal duties and responsibilities

Manage investment portfolios with the focus on fixed income. Optimize the return with measurable risk exposure. Monitor investment transactions and portfolio performance in order to achieve the investment objectives.

Lead the investment and research team and perform investment research. Formulate strategy for the investment portfolios.

Facilitate the establishment of both private and public funds, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements set by regulators (SFC).

Lead the product authorization process, work closely with SFC to obtain necessary approvals, and formulate and implement relevant policies for running public fund.

Conduct market updates and investment and portfolios/products reports.

Work with the product team to provide investment and research insights for products development and management.

Perform such other duties as shall, from time to time, to be directed by the management team.

About you

Degree holder in finance, economics, accounting or related disciplines from a recognized university.

Professional qualification in investment is preferred (CFA, CPA, FRM, CAIA).

7+ years proven experience in asset management companies or fund houses.

At least 3 years in managing public funds. Must have proven tracking records.

Sound knowledge of credits, equity, derivatives products on responsible markets.

Experience in managing mutual fund, Fund of Funds (FoFs) and Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs).

Familiar with the SFO, Fund Manager Code of Conduct and Code on Unit Trusts and Mutual Funds.

Proficiency in portfolio analytical tools e.g. Bloomberg PORT, and portfolio management and trading systems e.g. Bloomberg AIM.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, necessary for the creation of visually reports for presentations to senior management.

Ability to work under pressure, with strong analytical and communication skills. Team player.
