Job summary

The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care is seeking a Nurse to work on a Jockey Club-funded community project focused on promoting healthy ageing. The appointee will deliver health lectures, provide on-site coaching, and lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality community services.

Applicants must be registered nurses in Hong Kong with a valid Practising Certificate, at least 8 years post-registration experience, strong communication skills, and fluency in English and

Qualifications

  • Registered nurses in Hong Kong.
  • A valid Practising Certificate issued by The Nursing Council of Hong Kong.
  • At least 8 years of post-registration experience in frontline clinical or community-based nursing services, preferably in elder care, in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese is compulsory).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver health lectures and workshops for capacity-building and public education.
  • Provide on-site coaching and supervision.
  • Provide expertise on quality assurance and protocol optimization of the service model.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality service to the community.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and external collaborators.
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Nurse

The appointee will work under a Jockey Club-funded community project for promoting healthy ageing.Duties include (a) delivering health lectures and workshopsforcapacity-buildingand public education purposes (b) providing on-site coaching and supervision (c) providing expertise on quality assurance and protocol optimizationof the service model (d) leading a multidisciplinary team in providing high-quality service to community population (e) liaising with stakeholders and external collaborators (f) facilitating knowledge exchange activities and (g) performing other duties as assigned. Fieldwork outside office is required.

Applicants should be/have (i) registered nurses in Hong Kong (ii) a valid Practising Certificate issued by The Nursing Council of Hong Kong (iii) at least 8 years of post-registration experience infrontline clinical orcommunity-based nursing services(preferably related to older people), in a supervisory or leadership position (iv) strong communication and interpersonal skills and (v) an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese(Cantonese is compulsory).

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
