Job summary

Experior Asia is supporting a leading international school in Hong Kong with the appointment of an experienced Middle School Mathematics Teacher for a fixed-term maternity cover position.

This is a part-time maternity cover appointment commencing in October 2026 for approximately five months. It would suit an experienced Mathematics teacher already based in Hong Kong who seeks a high‑quality short-term international school opportunity.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Mathematics, Education or related subject.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE or QTS or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary or Middle School level.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Experience in an international school environment is advantageous.
• Hong Kong teacher registration or eligibility is beneficial.
• Ability to work legally in Hong Kong for the duration of the appointment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons to Middle School students.
• Create an engaging, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback.
• Differentiate teaching to meet varied learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Mathematics department and wider school.
• Maintain high expectations for student learning, behaviour and participation.
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues and parents where appropriate.
• Contribute to the professional and pastoral life of the school during the appointment.
